In this episode, I discuss the importance of “CQ”, or “Clarity Quotient.” As I’ve said before, I am very convinced that bringing clarity is one of the most important roles of the leader as clarity is one of the “dissonance killers.”

OK…I make no bones about the fact that I am a rabid Apple fan. Today I think I finally realized why.
As I sat listening to an Apple techie do a tutorial on using GarageBand for podcasting, I realized that Apple is striving to better integrate the “intuitives” in my life and to reduce the amount of work it takes for me to put out a well-appointed creative product.
Apple is a dissonance-killer.
Seriously.
They rule my creative life and I fully give them permission to do so.
Everyone assumes that the “i’ in all of their products stands for “internet”, but my suspicion is that it actually stands for “integrated”.
Well done, Apple.

..if you’ve never been to Vegas, probably not. He’s selling out thousands of seats a show every night and has been doing it for years.
I think he’s found a niche. I have no idea what he does, but apparently it must be entertaining.
Last night I experienced “Le Reve”, Franco Dragone’s new creation at the Wynn. PHENOMENAL.
Tonight it’s “Mystere” at TI.
Cirque has it all - hands down.

I’m officially in Vegas and the podcasting forum is underway.
Thus far, the most exciting part of the trip has been running into Howie Mandel at the Sony Style store. It’s odd. In person he looks just like….well….Howie Mandel.
More news to follow, but I will quickly say that my threshold for media is being pushed and challenged here. Stimulus overload is bad for creativity. It will take me weeks to sort all of this out.

Do you know your strengths and weaknesses?
Really?
We all love it when the Paula’s of the world encourage us, but the harsh reality is that encouragement from the Paula’s is like encouragement from our mom.
What would Simon say? THAT’S what I want to know.

Herman Miller’s “Jugglezine” has an interesting article right now on the future of the written word. How we communicate is changing on nearly a daily basis.
