…by your work, or do you feel as if you are ahead of it?

One source of creative inversion is the sense of helplessness that accompanies an excessive workload. It is critical to ensure that you plan enough time to think about the work you are doing. Factor creative time into your schedule just like you do anything else. As David Allen says, you have to think about your work more than you think you do, but not as much as you’re afraid you might have to.

Planning for creative time is critical to healthy rhythm.
