Adrian Savage has some interesting insights into the purpose and meaning of work. I am posting this mostly because meaning is SO central to the work of the artist. Because there is such a pervasive qualitative aspect to our work, we must always be asking the “why” and not just the “what”. Meaning becomes the driving force behind our effort.
