Things We Loved: December 1st Edition

By AC Team

It’s time for the weekly list to add to your Stimuli Queue!

The full list is below, or you can head over to Delicious to view previews of each link arranged in a nice, neat package. Remember, if you come across an article during the week you think we should share with the AC community, post the link on our Facebook page or tweet it to us!

Todd’s away in South Africa this week (what? no, we’re not jealous), so today’s links come courtesy of the rest of the AC team. (Okay, we’re a little jealous.)

Five Things We Loved

5. Matt, our editorial director and self-publishing guru, loved this interview over on ZenHabits. Take a listen to Leo Babauta’s interview of Seth Godin on the future of publishing.

4. Mindy is our radio junkie, and one of her all-time favorite shows is Studio 360 from PRI. The show is an excellent source of discussion on design, art, music, and the science of creativity; what a joy to have an entire hour dedicated to these topics. The Aha Moment segments are particularly inspiring.

3. If your Idea Time needs a jump-start, pick up the book 344 Questions: The Creative Person’s Do-It-Yourself Guide to Insight, Survival, and Artistic Fulfillment by Stefan G. Bucher. The book is filled with clever and insightful questions from dozens of creative professionals. It’s a visual treat that will surely get your brain going. Hat tip to Mindy’s technology manager for sticking the book in her inbox.

2. In honor of World AIDS Day, we share this letter of advice from artist and activist Keith Haring to an aspiring 15-year-old artist, on the fantastic Letters of Note blog. Short yet inspiring.

1. Kill procrastination and get creative things done? Yes, please! The Cult of Done Manifesto (from Maker heroes Bre Pettis and Kio Stark) has been rendered in Rubik’s Cubes. Link via the Fast Company Design blog.
